La Cubana

“ We found La Cubana by chance while looking for a quick bite, and it turned out to be an incredible experience. We shared the ham and cheese croquettes and yuca frita as starters – both were delicious. For mains, we had the pressed Cubano sandwich, pulled pork medianoche, and the Guava BBQ beef short rib plate. Everything was flavourful and well-prepared. The place has a nice 1950s Cuban vibe with traditional Cuban music playing in the background, making the experience feel authentic. The classic sides like tostones and congrís rice were the perfect complement to our meals. The service was quick and attentive. I highly recommend La Cubana if you’re looking for a true Cuban experience in Toronto. ”

“ Loved our visit to La Cubana! We tried the roast beef sandwich, pressed ham sandwich, and the beef burger. The first two were absolutely delicious, packed with flavor and perfectly made. The burger was decent, but the sandwiches really stood out. The black bean soup was a highlight! so hearty and flavorful. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making the whole experience even better. ”

“ Had a great time here , the atmosphere is nice as well as the music the only downfall was when the phone rings it goes through the whole sound system and promoting happy hour with no beer and then the beer just arrive 6pm felt suspicious but it’s whatever. The food was delicious and I will definitely go back. The TOSTONES and I enjoyed their Cuban Mango Habanero Hot sauce. ”

“ Finally visited this small, atmospheric Cuban place at Ossington and oh boy I wish I did it sooner. Best Cuban sandwich I had (and yes I tired them in Miami). Great food, great service good prices. Highly recommend for quick bites and drinks! ”

“ The food was good, but pricey at 17 dollars for one sandwich (chicken medianoche). My friend also ordered the same sandwich but his had significantly less chicken, so it's luck of the draw. I found the social media images a bit deceptive when showcasing the chicken sandwich. It was still a decent sandwich, but not worth the price. The Pressed Cubano was very tasty. I'd personally suggest getting the Pressed Cubano over anything else. The yuca frita were interesting and different from anything I've tasted. Similar to fries. We had both for comparison. I suggest you give them a try. The patio outside is very tight, but worth the squeeze if you like your friends! The bathrooms are downstairs, so not accessible. Our server was good, but they were VERY busy, so service was a bit meh with a lot of waiting and reminding happening. ”

“ The sandwiches here are amazing. The Cubanos is so crunchy and tasty. Meats plates or sandwiches are so tender and juicy. The Mango Habanero Hot Sauce is so awesome. Very friendly staff. They speak Tagalog. Fast kitchen. Love the diner style interior design. Outdoor Seating Available. The bar in the back looks amazing. No credit card surcharge. Prices are high for the portions. No WiFi. ”

“ Went there for a late dinner with a large group and they were very accommodating. As the name suggests they serve Cuban food and everything tasted delicious. I got the Pork Belly Plate and my friend Vegetarian Plate. I loved the Pork Belly. I also got Cuba Libre (Rum and Coke) and Yuca Fries. ”

“ Absolutely worth the wait! The restaurant was quite busy and we had to wait in line, but it was totally worth it. The food was absolutely delicious, high quality, and reasonably priced. The waitress was very friendly and attentive—even though she was working alone and it was hectic, she managed everything so well. Our food came a bit late, but she kindly brought us complimentary drinks as an apology when we were leaving. I really enjoyed the food and the cozy decor. I’ll definitely be coming back! ”
